Quest to Find a Home-Based Opportunity

Happy New Year!!!!!

With the new year comes new ideas, new ventures, and some not so new stuff too. All that old stuff that we were supposed to do last year, but never got around to it. No time like the present to get it started and get it done.

So, how about some help? I know you have spent countless hours on the internet trying to find that perfect opportunity to allow you to work from home. No matter how much time you spend researching, there is still some doubt as to whether the opportunity is legitimate. Well, fret no more.

The newest section of my blog will be a review of online internet opportunities. Each month I will choose a popular home based program and rate it according to income potential, difficulty, investment, legitimacy, etc. Feel free to suggest a program that you may be considering.

So You Want to Work From Home?

There are hundreds of businesses, opportunities, and jobs that will allow you to work from the comfort of your home. Although finding your niche can be overwhelming, once you determine in what capacity you would like to work from home, it is much easier.

Let's start with the three basic categories:

1. Home Based Businesses - Usually refers to actual professions, small businesses, trades, services, start-ups, franchises that are operated from home. (Self-employed)
2. Employers that hire Homeworkers - Refers to being employed by a company that offers telecommuting positions or specifically hires personnel to work from home. (Employee)
3. Work From Home Opportunities - Usually encompasses all the other work at home programs including MLM, network marketing, affiliate programs, direct sales, internet marketing, etc. (Independent Contractor)

There are many advantages and disadvantages to consider when choosing your path. Start with determing your financial goals, time commitment, start up costs, motivation and desire. Evaluate your personality, your surroundings, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. This will narrow down the playing field and put you in the right direction. Keep those in mind as you commence your search. You are now ready to start doing your "homework".

It requires great discipline and self-management to be able to work from home. Although you are in your fuzzy slippers and never combed your hair, working from home is still a business/job and must be treated as such. Otherwise, you will be hearing those two words that Donald Trump says so well. Only this time, they will be coming from yourself or via e-mail.

Very interesting, so let's check it out

Day 1 - 12/30 - Set up account. Allows two options for activation of account, pay a fee or complete a free trial offer through one of their sponsors. I chose the free option. After several hours and several rejected emails, the account still had not been activated.

Day 2 - 12/31 - Received email apologizing for the delay and notice of account activation. Logged in and began reading materials. Lots of information to digest. Offers 3 methods to generate income. Concept is sound and easy to understand. A few technical details to really pay attention to.

Day 3 - 1/1 - Set up and completed 2 "jobs". 1st job took about 20 minutes, 2nd job about 35 minutes. Upon confirmation, pay total for both jobs should be $55. Waiting on confirmation

Day 4 - 1/2 - PAID!!! My paypal account was credited today. I set up 4 more jobs and will begin method 2.

Day 5 - 1/3 - Completed the 4 jobs in about 2 hours. Had some downloading issues. Realistically should have taken a little over an hour. Already been paid on one. Waiting on confirmation for the other 3. Total payment of $115 expected. Still working on putting Method 2 in place.

Day 6 - 1/4 - Paid on one other job. Waiting on two others. Haven't received confirmation for two jobs. Started with Method 2.

Day 7 - 1/5 - Continued working on Method 2. Still waiting for confirmation on 2 jobs. I will say that one of the jobs did have a two day turn around so the waiting period is okay. However the other job in my opinion should have confirmed already. I will give it til Monday as I am unsure how confirmations work over the weekend.

Day 8 - 1/6 - Method 2 is up and running. Although this is better paying than Method 1, the payouts take a little longer. Method 1 has proved itself to be profitable and I highly suggest it for someone looking to make a couple of hundred dollars a week.

Day 9 - 1/7 - Continuing to make money with Method 1

Day 10 - 1/8 - Should get paid with Method 2 by Friday

Day 11 - 1/9 - Received my 1st bonus today!! So far my profits have averaged out to about $60 an hour.

I have concluded that Project Payday is a great way to supplement your income with an few extra hundred dollars a week by utilizing Method 1. Method 2 and Method 3 have the potential for long term income, however they take longer to payout. I will continue to update information about Project Payday concerning Method 2 and Method 3. Tis the Season to Stop Talking and Start Doing

As the New Year approaches, most of us take the time to reflect on the year passed and vow to make change. We say things like, "This year I am finally going to...., or "My New Year's resolution is to... or "This year is going to be different because I'm gonna....." With the best of intentions, we set out to make change only to end up doing nothing at all. I am guilty as charged.

The problem is that talking ain't doing and doing ain't talking!

If you’re really serious about starting that business, stopping smoking, losing weight, finding a better job, working on your relationships, going back to school, saving money or just making this your best year ever, talk won’t get you there.

If you want change, you have to make change. If you want better, you have to do better. If you want this year to to be different than the past, you must act differently today than how you acted yesterday.

• Be accountable. Most people want to achieve more, but they’re not willing to be accountable for their actions and results. Accountability means discipline and discipline means doing the important things when you would rather be doing something else (or nothing at all).



• Don't make excuses. Excuses are not reasons, they are like opinions. And we all know that opinions are like ....



• Get your priorities straight. Focus your time on the most important goals and tasks.



• Do it now. Don't allow procrastination, distractions and negativity to steal your dreams.
